1. 5-hour Stockmanship DVD set; $250

This 5- hour video is the full presentation Bud gave at the 1990 Stockman Grass Farmer Grazing Conference in 1990. At that time, I often videotaped Bud’s presentations just so he could view them himself. However, so many of the people attending asked about getting a copy that we decided to make it available to the public.

At that time, we only showed about thirty minutes of video of Bud working livestock, the rest of the time he is answering questions, discussing his methods, and thoroughly diagramming his talk on a chalkboard.

We have received very positive feedback from the many people who have purchased this video. Read our Testimonials page for comments of how the video has helped others.

This video is available on 4 DVDs or on an external hard drive in .avi format for $250 (additional charge for external hard drive explained in note below).

2. 2-hour Starting a Colt DVD set; $250

I have often tried to get Bud to let me make the video that I have taken of him starting a colt available to the public. He has never wanted to do this. Some of you will remember my sparring with him about this in some of our schools. The modern way of training a young horse is so different from the way Bud does it that he didn’t want to start a confrontation with the “horse people.”  Bud and I have always been concerned with the number of our friends and acquaintances who have been injured with a horse. Some of these horses had been ridden for several years, and in my opinion, they still just weren’t safe to ride.

I have never been hurt by a horse, and I’ve always rode horses that I really had no business being on. I had never ridden at all when Bud and I got married. We leased a ranch in Northern California for a while, and to make some extra money Bud would start colts for people, or he would buy an unbroke colt, then sell it when it got to going good. I’ve never had any trouble with a colt that Bud had ridden for 3 days as long as I did what he told me to do. In the heat of battle I remember telling him “You don’t care about me, you just don’t want me to spoil your darned old horse.” Bud said “If you don’t spoil my darned old horse, you won’t get hurt!” As much as I hated to admit it, he was right.

People are always asking Bud for a “recipe” to work their livestock. This method of starting a colt is as close to a recipe as you will ever get from Bud.

This video shows Bud working 3 different horses. It is on 2-DVDs or on an external hard drive in .avi format for $250 (additional charge for external hard drive explained in note below).

3. 18-hour Stockmanship Plus video on an external hard drive; $900

Over the years, many of our Stockmanship Students have asked us to up-date the Stockmanship video we have had for sale since 1990 and include the videos of people working livestock that we used in our schools. Bud and I had started work on this before his death in November of 2012. I have since completed this project.

This will not be for the casual student. The old video I took of his presentation at the 1990 Stockman Grass Farmer Grazing Conference will take care of that. This is for the serious student and for my peace of mind that we’ve done everything we can to insure that as much of Bud’s knowledge as possible won’t be lost.

I have put absolutely every bit of Stockmanship video of any value that I have on it. The basis is a video of a 2-day Stockmanship School we put on in Midland, Texas in May of 1996.  This does not include material from any of the other videos we have for sale.

It is broken up into segments like we did at the schools.

1. One Animal
2. Pulling Pens
3. Chutes and Alleys
4. Sorting
5. Pastures
6. Weaning and Receiving New Animals

In addition to each “school segment,” I’ve added all of the newer video clips we showed in later schools. Bud had narrated most of these clips. The ones that he hadn’t, I’ve been able to go over some audio tapes I have of some of the later schools and patch that audio onto them. A couple of clips I narrated myself.

This video is over 18 hours long. It is on an external hard-drive that will connect to your computer by a USB cord and sells for $900.

This price also includes access to our Subscription Website (a $200 value). This site has over 1,000 postings of Bud’s thoughts on various Stockmanship and Marketing subjects as well as his answers to questions from subscribers.

4. Access to the 1,000 plus items on our Subscription Website; $200

On July 1, 2009, Bud and I started our Subscription Website. For $300 per year Bud would answer any questions on Marketing or Livestock Handling as well as writing articles that would be of interest to our subscribers. These Q & A’s were posted in the website. Since Bud has passed away we are no longer charging an annual fee. Anyone who was “paid-up” on January 1, 2013 will continue to have access to the site, and I will answer any questions that I can.

In the summer of 2012 we sponsored a “Bud Summit.” This meeting was only for subscribers to the website and their guests. Tina, our daughter and webmaster, audio-taped the session. These audio clips are on the website. The clips I posted starting on September 1, 2012 were the complete two-and-a-half-hour talk that Bud gave on “Weaning and/or Receiving New Cattle.” Many people have told me this information alone was worth the $300 annual fee. This is still a live forum where subscribers can post comments and ask questions.

For a one-time fee of $200 you can have access to the 1,000 plus postings on the site. I plan to keep this site open to you for many years. Send me your check along with your e-mail address, and I will e-mail you information on how to access the website.

5. “Proper Livestock Marketing 101” the book; $500

Richard, Tina, and I decided to put together the transcript of the Marketing DVD (which is no longer for sale) and all of Bud’s writings about marketing from the subscription website into one book to fully describe and explain Bud Williams Proper Livestock Marketing.

Along with the 340 page, spiral bound book, buyers will receive all the livestock marketing excel files Richard and Tina have developed along with access to the Hand ‘n Hand website for updates and videos explaining their use (a $225 value). We have also designed and included some paper worksheets for those who want or need to do the work by hand.

Lifetime access to the stockmanship.com/subscription website (a $200 value) will also come with the book.

Read more about what’s in the book here.

The price of $500 U.S. includes postage to U.S. locations. Shipping to Canada is an additional $30, and shipping to Australia is an additional $40. For other locations, call or email.

For international orders, we can have a book printed and shipped directly to you for the price of the book ($500 US) plus a shipping charge of between $15 and $30 depending on the type of shipping (speed) you request. Please email me for more information about this option.

7. “Stock Dogs: Partners and Friends” book/DVD combination, $250
This 166 page, softcover, 5.5 inch x 8.5 inch book pulls together posts and stories from our website as well as other communication from through the years which explain and tells stories about Bud’s work with stock dogs. Bud and his dogs were partners. Therefore, this isn’t a book about training dogs, it’s a book about making the most of your partnership and friendship with your dog while you manage your livestock.

We combine this with an hour-long DVD of Bud working stock dogs and explaining what he’s doing and why to assist you in your work with your dog! And, there are two surprise bonus features on the DVD!

Along with the book, you can choose to get either the DVD or the files on an external hard drive in .avi format for $250 (additional charge for external hard drive explained in note below).

8. “Bud’s Musings” book, $15
It seems like every time I try to find something on our web page, I get sidetracked reading something Bud wrote. An hour and a half later I’ll shake loose and finish what I started. Though I’m the one who posted all these things for Bud and should be familiar with them, I’m still amazed at the insight he had and how timeless his Musings are. Tina and I decided to put together this collection of Bud’s Musings posts from both the regular and the subscription website for my kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. At first I wasn’t going to sell it, but we thought others might also enjoy reading them. Even though many of the Musings relate to agricultural topics, the ideas he shares translate to any other business or industry. We offer this spiral bound, 145 page, 5.5 x 8.5 inch, soft cover book at just our cost to print and ship.

How to Order

Prices on all materials includes postage and handling to the United States. Please add $30 for orders from Canada and $40 for orders from Australia. If you order more than one item, I can usually ship two items (though not the Marketing book and Smile and Mean it together, as they are both large) for that one shipping price. If you aren’t sure if your items will fit for that price, please call or email.

NEW!!! We are now offering any of our DVDs in .avi files on an external hard drive for an additional cost of the hard drive ($30).

We can put any or all of the DVDs on one hard drive for a single $30 additional fee.

If you are buying the “18-hour Stockmanship Plus video,” we can put any additional DVDs you buy on that same external hard drive for NO additional fee.

When you get the DVD files on an external hard drive, you will NOT also receive the DVDs.

For example, if you buy the “Starting a Colt,” and the “5-Hour Stockmanship” DVDs and want them on an external hard drive, it would be $250 + $250 + $30 = $525.

Please be VERY clear when writing out your order that you let us know whether you want DVDs or the video files on an external hard drive!

I must collect 5.6 % sales tax if I ship to a Missouri address.

I now offer two ways for you to make your payment. If you would like to pay with PayPal or a credit card through PayPal (additional fees apply), click here.

If you would like to pay by mail, send your check or money order (in U.S. funds) along with your mailing address and e-mail address to me at:
